Are you going to – or do you want to – work on the Norwegian continental shelf? TS Group is now expanding its focus on safety and emergency preparedness, and is launching the Basic Safety Course (GSK) as a permanent part of the course menu at TS Academy.
In collaboration with Nosefo, we make the course available to personnel in both the offshore and onshore industries. Whether you are going on your very first trip to the North Sea, or if you need to refresh old knowledge, we offer both a complete basic course and a refresher course.
Approved safety training for the entire North Sea
Both courses (GSK and GSK refresher) are approved by Offshore Norway and are conducted in accordance with their established curriculum. This ensures that you receive a certification that meets the industry's expected standards.
The certification is valid for 4 years for both course types. With a GSK certificate from us, you are qualified to work throughout the North Sea Basin, which includes sectors in Norway, Denmark and the United Kingdom (UK).
Multiple course locations with many published dates
Logistics shouldn't stop you from taking the necessary courses. We run safety courses in Bergen, Stavanger and Tau, with a course calendar that makes it easy to plan around your rotation or work schedule.
By moving parts of the training to e-learning, we ensure that the time you spend with us is as practical and effective as possible.
Flexible implementation with e-learning
The courses are designed with a combination of digital preparation and practical exercises, ensuring an efficient learning process and reducing the time participants need to be away from work.
- Basic Safety Course (GSK): Includes a minimum of 6 hours of e-learning before practical attendance. Suitable for new personnel who want to have full certification.
- GSK Refresher : Includes a minimum of 5 hours of e-learning. The refresher course maintains competence in accordance with current requirements from Offshore Norway.
Relevant for more than just offshore
Although GSK is mandatory for the shelf, the content in fire protection, first aid and emergency preparedness is very relevant for personnel in land-based industries. By choosing TS Academy, you get a solid foundation for a safe working day, regardless of whether you work offshore or onshore.
