The training should provide competence in:
- Risk understanding and barriers
- First aid
- Helicopter evacuation
- Fire protection
- Evacuation means
- Use of a life jacket at sea
After completing the training, the participant should be able to:
- Describe risk factors and identify barriers
- Contribute to increased safety on offshore installations
- Perform life-saving first aid
- Evacuate by helicopter
- Prevent fires from occurring and extinguish minor fires
- Evacuate from offshore installations in lifeboats, life rafts and rafts
- Using a life jacket at sea
Shoulder width measurement is included in the course and it will be stated on the course certificate whether the shoulder width is "Normal" or "XBR".
"XBR" indicates that people should sit in predefined places in the helicopter.
The individual operator is responsible for ensuring that shoulder measurements are added to DaWinci.
Shoulder measurement is valid for 4 years and is renewed at the same time as a refresher course at GSK.
The course duration is 4 days, with the first day being completed as self-paced e-learning outside the course center.
- 1 course day is 8 hours with a minimum of 6 hours of effective training.
- 1 hour is 60 minutes.
Prerequisites
Completed e-learning. Access to the e-learning is sent after you have enrolled in the Basic Security Course with e-learning.
Target group
Everyone who will be staying on facilities on the Norwegian continental shelf.
