Mobile machining

Mobile machining

TS Site Services provides mobile machining services quickly on a variety of tasks that are normally solved with conventional machining in a workshop. Instead of dismantling equipment and transporting it to a workshop, we can achieve the same quality on site using mobile equipment.

We have an extensive machine park with turning, milling, drilling and cutting machines that are powerful, flexible and can be used in EX zones. The machines are attached to the workpiece with friction, welding, magnets or screwed. If necessary, the machines can be modified to solve a given task.

Our areas of expertise

Turning

Precise turning of flanges, shafts and pressure vessels – directly on-site.

  • Flanges: All types according to standards (ASME RF/RJ, API 6B/BX, NCF5/SPO Compact, EN1092-1, DIN 28032, etc.)
  • Clamp connections: Greyloc, Vector Techlock, Galperti G-Lok, Destec G-Range, etc.
  • Risers and special flanges: Machining of various types of sealing surfaces (AX/VX, FX, CX, CF, etc.)
  • Heat exchangers and pressure vessels: Machining of shells, end caps, tube and partition plates and manholes
  • Crane pedestals and tower segments
  • Axle journals
  • Riser tensioner joints

Milling

Flat, perpendicular and custom-made surfaces – always with high precision.

  • Foundations : Milling and preparation for machines, engines, pumps and structures
  • Parting groove: Fast machining directly in tube sheets
  • Hatch covers and flanges: Precise milling of hatches, crane tracks and keyways

Line drilling

Precise drilling and alignment for longer life and stable operation.

  • Joints: Line drilling of worn joints in lifting and construction equipment
  • Bearing bosses and holes: Custom machining of bearing bosses and bosses
  • Propeller sleeves: Precise drilling and alignment for/of/on marine equipment

Drilling, countersinking and threading

  • Precision drilling: Drilling holes up to 150 mm in diameter in one efficient operation.
  • Threading in large dimensions: For components up to M100.
  • Removal of seized bolts: Loosening and removing seized bolts without damaging the surrounding structure.
  • Broaching and honing: Machining to achieve correct tolerances and desired surface finish.

Cold cutting

Mechanical cutting and processing.

  • Cutting and jointing of pipes: All dimensions, wall thicknesses and material qualities with the possibility of cutting and jointing in one operation
  • Split-Frame: Modern machinery for high precision and safe cuts
  • Cutting steel profiles: Cutting H-beams, square profiles and other steel structures

Frequently asked questions

Yes. TS Site Services has machines developed specifically for machining compact flanges.

The AX-08 is our compact external turning machine for small flanges in very limited space areas, enabling machining where standard equipment cannot reach.

Mobile machining is machining performed directly on site when equipment cannot or should not be dismantled. The service reduces downtime, lowers costs and delivers workshop quality on site.

Mobile machining provides minimal downtime, as well as reduced costs associated with dismantling and transporting parts to a workshop.

We serve on-/offshore, process industry, refineries, petrochemicals, maritime sector and heavy industry, nationally and internationally.

TS Site Services performs all common machining operations on-site:

  • Turning: Flanges (ASME, API, NCF5/SPO), clamp connections, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, manholes, shaft journals and risers.
  • Milling: Foundations, heat exchanger plates, manhole covers, square flanges, crane tracks and keyways.
  • Line drilling: Joints, bearing bosses, bow ports, propeller sleeves.
  • Pipe cutting and jointing: Pipes of all dimensions and materials, including casing and risers.

We can provide services onshore and offshore throughout the country and internationally.

Contact us and describe your challenge. Our engineers will recommend the right method and equipment, even for non-standard assignments.

Yes. TS Site Services can in many cases modify equipment for a given task, but we can also work with equipment manufacturers to develop new equipment as needed.

Yes. By choosing the right equipment in combination with modern measuring equipment and experienced personnel, we achieve the same tolerances and precision level as in a workshop.
