Management Letter – Q3 2026

Expertise never goes out of style!

CFO: "What happens if we invest in developing our people and they leave?"
CEO: “What happens if we don't, and they stay?”

The third quarter of 2026 has been marked by continued geopolitical and economic unrest in our immediate vicinity. In such a context, stable, predictable and long-term energy supplies from Norway are becoming increasingly important. Not only for energy security, but as a fundamental prerequisite for industrial, financial and political stability in Europe.

For TS Group, this provides a continued solid and stabilizing backdrop for our business. At the same time, we spend a lot of time developing the organization further. One area that is particularly high on the agenda is competence.

In the Academy service area, we therefore continue to build both capacity and commercial power. Recently, we have recruited two new employees; a project manager based in Grenland who is already operational, and a VP Sales based in Bergen who will join in November.

Sometimes we headhunt such resources. Other times we go out into the market broadly. Our last open application process in controlling resulted, as an example, in more than 60 unique applicants. That's pretty wild, but perhaps not so strange. After all, on the other side of the gate lies a job in TS Group, with the very best, most recognized and forward-looking customer base in our industry. It is therefore not particularly surprising that our customers also make TS Group attractive to talented people.

This of course also imposes obligations. If we are to attract the best, we must also ensure that the development opportunities, ambitions and quality of what we offer internally are in line with the customers and the assignments we are given the opportunity to handle.

Competence development at TS Group is therefore not just about recruiting new employees or developing services for the market. These days we are also rolling out our own developed Leadership and Organizational Development Program (LOOP).

The program encompasses the entire administrative organization in TS Group, across staff and line, and will be a permanent part of how we develop the organization and our employees. LOOP is mandatory, agile and in practice has no end date. The ambition is not to implement a program and move on, but to make continuous development part of the way we work. "On-the-job-training" is therefore perhaps the most important part of this development process. If we are to become better at leadership, interaction and implementation, it is not enough to talk about it in a meeting room or at meetings. We must train while we have our shoes on and actually lead, interact and implement.

This is conceptually the same logic behind our Academy initiative, really. Competence is developed through practice, responsibility, repetition and exposure to real issues. Whether we develop professional competence for our clients or management and organisational competence internally, the goal is the same: higher quality, greater execution and increased value creation.

I am already proud of the people I have around me in TS Group, and of the product we create together. It is developing rapidly, every single day. But that is how it has to be. The world around us is moving ever faster, and that requires us to continue to develop, challenge ourselves and push boundaries. Not in a hurry. Not in a pinch. But as an institutionalized part of our working day.

How LOOP, Academy, new employees and all the talents that are already part of TS Group will shape us further, we of course do not yet fully know. But we do know that it will change us. And that is a good thing. Because even though everyone wants to get better, there are always far fewer who want change. It is a paradox that can only be challenged with courage, confidence and curiosity.

And if this has also made you a little more curious about us, whether you already know TS Group well or not, are a customer, employee, partner or simply would like to become one, then don't hesitate to get in touch. Because at TS Group they say that you rarely become stupider by talking to people. And that's why AI will never be more important than people. Just more important to people. We think so.
