AS Norske Shell, on behalf of Gassco as operator at Nyhamna, exercises an option and extends the framework agreement with TS Group until 2028.
The "Provision of Site Support Services" agreement covers expertise in the fields of process, mechanical, electrical and automation and is used for both operational and project activities at the facility. During periods of high activity, over 50 man-years have been associated with the agreement, ranging from operators to project managers and specialists in areas such as work permits and commissioning.
Local affiliation
– The collaboration with Norske Shell started back in 2007, focus on local belonging and workforce has been a common success driver all along. There is no doubt that the agreement has been instrumental in the development of TS Group, says Stine Setsaas.

In this respect, Nyhamna is an essential piece of the puzzle for us at TS Group. As a process engineer at the Nyhamna facility, the requirements for professional execution are strict, and you build experience with hydrocarbon-bearing facilities that is second to none of what you encounter on offshore installations. Locally, we are experiencing a growing interest in the fields and we are collaborating with Norske Shell to retain local talent at the facility.
Contract owner at Norske Shell, Jan Inge Engeseth, says the following about the option exercise:
