Industrial mechanics for short-term assignments on Melkøya, Hammerfest

The group has order reserves exceeding NOK 4 billion, divided into long-term and predictable contracts aimed at the most important players in both the offshore and onshore industries. TS Group is located in Grenland, Molde and Bergen, has Norwegian ownership and employs approximately 450 competent employees.

We are looking for two Industrial Mechanics for short-term assignments at Melkøya, Hammerfest.

Opportunities offshore after completion of the assignment. 

The positions are daytime, and it is a prerequisite that you live in the local area. 

About the position

Responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment in energy production, with a focus on safe, stable and efficient operation.
The role includes carrying out inspections and planned maintenance, as well as ensuring correct documentation and compliance with applicable procedures and HSE requirements.

The position involves working independently within your own field of expertise, in close collaboration with the team to achieve common goals.
You help identify and solve challenges, ensure continuous improvement and maintain high quality in your work.
The role requires good communication, flexibility and the ability to adapt to changes in everyday operations.

Job duties:

  • Responsible for all maintenance tasks within the mechanical field, and ensuring that operational requirements are met according to current documentation and company procedures
  • Contribute to technical training of apprentices and other employees in the mechanical team
  • Ensure good collaboration with suppliers and other disciplines for seamless coordination and effective interaction
  • Perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. This includes tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, adjusting components, and replacing worn parts. Monitor system parameters, alarms, and data trends to ensure stable operation and identify deviations.
  • Ensure that maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently and on time
  • Report history of maintenance activities and ensure correct documentation and completion of work
  • Actively participate in identifying areas for improvement within mechanical maintenance processes and procedures
  • Troubleshoot problems that may arise, such as equipment failures or malfunctions. Use diagnostic tools and methods to identify root causes and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • Perform modifications to mechanical equipment and systems. This includes upgrades, improvements, repairs, and implementation of new technology.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines in all mechanical work
  • Follow HSE requirements, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and report deviations or incidents to the appropriate authority

 

We are looking for you with the following skills: 

  • Norwegian vocational certificate as an industrial mechanic, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of rules, regulations, standards and technical requirements in the relevant field.
  • General IT knowledge and open to new digital solutions.
  • High degree of responsibility and ability to make independent decisions. 
  • Willingness to learn and develop, as well as to take the initiative for improvement.
  • Good knowledge of Scandinavian languages, spoken and written.
  • Structured, flexible, with good social and collaboration skills.   
  • Solution- and results-oriented with a good overall understanding.
