Lift
Personal lift user course
The course is intended to provide users with a good basic training in the safe use of personal lifts. The training covers the theoretical and practical safety training required for users of personal lifts. The theoretical training concludes with a written test. A certificate of competence is issued to participants to meet documentation requirements.
Purpose
The training should give users good insight into the principles of the lift's construction, emergency procedures, operating methods, maintenance and use, so that accidents and incidents in connection with installation and use are avoided.
Authority requirements
Section 47 of the Working Environment Act and the regulations on the use of work equipment require that employees who use lifts (personnel lifts) can document practical and theoretical training in their use.
The course meets the requirements of the Working Environment Act and the Regulations on the Use of Work Equipment (Order No. 555) regarding documented training. It also covers the requirements of the Scaffolding Regulations, the Internal Control Regulations and the Regulations on the Use of Personal Protective Equipment (Order No. 524).
