Fall protection - Working at height
Working at heights is one of the areas where the most injuries occur, and what these all have in common is that they could have been avoided with proper training.
Authority requirements
The course meets the requirements of the Working Environment Act and the Regulations on the Use of Work Equipment (Order No. 555) regarding documented training. It also covers the requirements of the Scaffolding Regulations, the Internal Control Regulations and the Regulations on the Use of Personal Protective Equipment (Order No. 524).
Objective
The goal is to provide the participant with good basic training in the safe use of fall protection equipment, an introduction to laws and regulations and recommended safe practices. Furthermore, the equipment's structure, properties, areas of use and requirements for maintenance and inspection are reviewed.
Documentation:
After completing the course, the documentation is sent to the Central Register for Safety Training (SFS), which issues a Certificate of Competence.
